Whew! Okay, I was away for the last 3 days and I just now caught up with everyone's assignments. You'll see I made about 6 posts in a row after them all. :)

So, now that I'm all caught up I thought I'd give you an idea of what's going on and how I feel about the class.

First of all, I'm really happy with how most everyone has been doing in the class. You've really worked hard and have posted some really great answers. Some of you have done such wonderful research that I'm going to use your information when I do future classes. :) On top of that, everyone's doing a great job at working with their cards, from what I can tell so far. There haven't been any great problems or misinterpretations, which is wonderful.

As to what's happening next.... I'm giving people until FRIDAY the 21st to get ALL assignments in to me. I'm going to give you the weekend to practice doing readings with your partner, so research the symbolism in your cards! Make charts and use your LWB if you have to....remember to rely on your intuition first, of course. I just want you to practice so don't worry too much about being really accurate.

EDIT: As long as both you and your partner are done all assignments, you can start practicing reading at any time, you don't have to wait until the weekend.

On Monday I will post the 4th lesson and you will start reading for your assignments. But, you'll learn more about that when I post it. :)

So, yeah....that's it.

Now, I want any feedback from you that you might have. How are you liking the class? Would you like me to do anything different? Anything at all you have to tell me, I appreciate. :)

Thanks for doing such a good job, everyone!

i'm really enjoying the class. its helped me with direction...meaning, giving me a focus on the cards that i haven't had before. and thus, why i've felt it was so hard to 'learn' them. i was very caught up in the book meanings, that i wasn't paying attention to the cards, their symbology(ies), and what 'first impression' i got from them.

its been a wonderful step in the right direction for me.

I was wondering when we were going to start working with partners but this post answers that so all I have to say is....

I love the class. It's really great that everything is broken down so well. I was always interested in Tarot, but I just felt overwhelmed by learning everything. As weird as it sounds, I like the strict schedule you've put down for the class. I'm one of those people that won't sit down and do things unless I'm motivated by somebody or by a deadline. The no-nonsense way you put down deadlines is great!

Now that you've given us ideas on actually how to interpret and connect with the cards, it's been a lot easier for me. I've found I'm actually pretty good at it, if I do say so myself. I'm looking forward to testing my knowledge with my class partner!

Oh, I'm glad you think so! I'm exactly the same way, so I put the deadlines down as much for myself as for the rest of you. If I didn't set a date, the next lesson would never get written. :) Not to mention, that this is such a long and intricate class, it's the best way to keep everyone on the same page.

I'm also really enjoying the class and feel so lucky that I'm a part of it. As for learning, most of it has been a review. I've learned the most from doing the excercises and assigments, so I think they were great ideas. Overall, I think the class has been an enjoyible experience and am hopefull for the class' future.

I join these classes as a way to motivate me to explore things in a greater depth. I'm having a ball with this class because of the high level of participation both from the students and the wonderful Teacher. Thx Amethyst Rose.

I'm enjoying the class very much so far. I have learned alot from everyone and am looking forward to soaking up more knowledge. I'm a little nervous about reading accurately but confidence comes with practice......I hope. I do appreciate your availability to your students as well as your flexibility and clarity of your assignments. Great Job _handclapp

I love the class, but I've had some major problems at home, mostly that my laptop is toast, and had my third assignment on it... with no backup, as I didn't expect to need it. So... I'll redo that, and try to figure out some way to get with my partner and then maybe she and I can catch up together.

I love the class and the way you are teaching us Amethyst Rose. You are an inspiring teacher and know a lot,as I see it.SO far you have helped me a lot through the classes and especially through the assignements.
I know I had problems with the pace of the class. And this is due to my busy program in real life but I will come around.
The lessons are very helpful and informative and the assignements extremely interesting.I hope I will find the time to enjoy the class more.

I love this class more everyday and I am excited to learn more. To be honest when I signed up for the class I thought "hey this might be fun" and didn't expect to enjoy near as much as I do but as I get further into the class I love it!
I have a certain impatience to me now as I can't wait to learn more and to know my cards better. I tried the exercise you suggested but wasn't satisfied with just one card a day, now what I do is pull about 20 cards and I use aeclectic.net to look up their meanings, then I put them back into the deck and the next day I shuffle my cards and pull about 20 more, ofcourse sometimes I get some of the same cards and this is how I become familar with them.
I am also pleased with the pace of the class, not too fast but not too slow either. Some of the assignments I find hard to do but only because of my own inexperience, I seem to be further behind then many of the other students but that's ok I feel confident that by the end of the class I will have a good working knowledge of my cards and will have a good strong foundation in which to carry on myself and became more advanced with the cards.:)

I'd just like to say that I really love this class. I've always wanted to learn more about tarot, and when this class started I was so excited. I love that you give deadlines for each assignment, it really helps with direction. Your lessons are really easy to understand, and you respond quickly to any questions people might have. I'm also really into the idea of working with partners, and all the exercises and games that you listed. Having us just play around with the cards and doing evaluations is a great way to get people to practice using their cards in a very organized way. I love it!

I really enjoy the class. But as I found out...it is very easy to fall behind...if you have a life outside of Mystic Wicks. I was in a car accident and had broken ribs....and still got my assignments in.

It's like that with any class, anywhere, really. I broke a rib once a missed a week of University...tough to catch up after something like that. I hope you're feeling better. :)
