I'm looking for information on magick involving the third eye because I've been becoming increasingly aware of mine. I have tons of dreams about having a third eye, many of them intriguing but scary at the same time. Also, I've recently started to feel a weird sensation in my forehead. It's not painful and it's very concentrated in that spot.

All I know so far is what a friend told me, which is that there are optic nerves in the third eye spot and that since ancient times people have believed in a third eye associated with magick.

What does it mean to see my third eye when I dream and feel a weird sensation in that spot?

These sensations and dreams you describe would tell me that your psychic ability is becoming stronger. You may begin to 'see' or 'read into' things that normally you wouldn't.

Those who have had theirs shut down through years of repression, and being told "Thats just your imagination, it's not real" will strive to get their 'sight' back.

Having an open third eye or is a blessing. However, it is a good idea that you keep it in check, and under some control. You really don't want to find yourself talking to someone in public that no one else sees.... :p

Thanks for the info!

I find it interesting that it's related to things I've always had a connection with. For example, amethyst is also my birth stone, I'm really imaginative, and indigo blue is one of my favorite colors. But at the same time I have horrible vision-- my glasses are about the same as my mom's, which is unusually strong for my age group. Now that I think about it, it's sort of ironic that I'm an artist even though my vision sucks. The connection with imagination and childhood is striking too, because I'm the type that was VERY imaginative and never grew up.

It's also interesting that the third eye goes along with sleep patterns because I have some REALLY screwy sleep patterns. I'm beginning to wonder if those have something to do with it. One of the pages also mentions that it affects sensations of thirst, hunger, sexual desire, and biological clocks, and I tend to be more aware of those things than other people. A couple of days ago I actually asked the doctor if there was a reason why I get excessively thirsty (to the point of feeling hung over when I'm not). There's no explanation for it besides that some people are more sensitive to that than others.

This is definitely worth looking into more...
