Pets as familiars?

Out of curiosity, does anyone around here have their pet as their familiar?

yes, I do.
I hadn't meant for it to happen that way. I felt absolutely compulsed to buy a dog.. I wanted some easy to raise little annoying yipper purse dog. I bought a German Shorthair Pointer. Not a small dog. He has Orion's belt in chocolate brown spots on his hind quarter.. so his name is Orion. He is very much a familiar to me. He has a way of looking at you that makes you rethink things at times, other times he's just a dog, sniffing around the table for crumbs. More than a familiar though he's become a Guardian and seems to be very in touch with my Stag Guardian. So whether I like it or not my familiar is a big brown and white, obnoxious male dog. And I love him dearly.

I love my cat. She's very clever, affectionate, and interested in the daily goings-on of the house, but no, she's not my familiar. We don't have that connection and she's shown no interest in magic and ritual.

me. My dog & cat both like being near me in ritual. My dog will actually walk the perimeter of my circle (when I actually cast one) before settling next to me. My cat is always on the lookout for energy changes & "visitors" & lets me know when I'm being dense & missing things.
