Now that the lesson on spreads has been posted, you should start using other spreads to do readings for your partner.
Either do general readings, or answer a question that your partner has.
Describe to your partner what spread you are using, and what the lay out is, and meaning of the cards are in that layout, (past, future, out come, etc.). Be sure to describe to them the meaning of any patterns that show up in the cards.
When doing readings with more than one card, it can be very lengthy to describe what each card looks like and what it's symbols represent, so I don't expect you to do that. If, however, you come across one card that seems to be the central point of the reading, and very important, you can describe it if you feel it is necessary. Always remember to tell your partner what cards have been drawn, however, and if they are reversed (if you choose to use reversals).
A reading layout should be as follows:
Spread Used
Lay out
Card position meaning
Cards drawn
Meaning of card patterns
Meaning of card in each position
Overall meaning of the reading for the querant
I recommend you start slow, with a 3 card reading and move yourself up to something more complex, but you don't have to if you're comfortable enought with your abilities already.
We will not be doing evaluations. This'll totally be on the honor system, and I trust you will do readings as often as you can find the time to. Practice makes perfect. :)
If at any time you would like me to evaluate your readings, either pm me a general reading, or PM me and ask me of a question that you can answer for me, before doing the reading. I'll be happy to give you feedback.
