So... this is the "new" Scott Peterson type murder-the-pregnant-lover case that I'm sure will be the next big media circus for a while now. This sick puppy killed this woman (in her own home) he'd had an affair with... and she was 7 months pregnant with his child. As if that wasn't enough the woman's 7 year old son came in upon the murder and screamed, so the guy panicked and killed him too. Then he stole the murdered woman's car and took their bodies about fifteen minutes away and buried them in a shallow grave. The whole Fort Worth community has been nuts about this story for days... it is all everyone has been talking about. Now it is nationwide news... and even the headliner on cnn.com.

The guy confessed after a few days and led police to their bodies. Since this is Texas he will hopefully get the death penalty. It is times like these that I am actually grateful for Texas' mostly right wing government.

And the kicker? All of this happened on my parents' street (they live in a very nice neighborhood by the way)... about seven houses away from theirs. :eyebrow:

Please send any comforting prayers/thoughts/healing energies/ect here in Texas for the families and friends of the victims. :sniffsnif

I don't think this will drag on as long as the Scott Peterson case. The bulk of that was spent proving him guilty, and this guy confessed and even told where the bodies were.

Sick man. They were saying on the news that prosecutors could push for the death penalty..
I saw on the news how they were riding on horses ... I gather things work differently in Texas than in California :farmerjoe:

I am sorry to hear that this happened in your parents neighborhood.

Yup.:( And I live in my parents house, like seven houses away from where all this occured. Mom had forbidden me from even going out side now... :shaker:
But of course my thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends and loved ones affected by this.
