So... this is the "new" Scott Peterson type murder-the-pregnant-lover case that I'm sure will be the next big media circus for a while now. This sick puppy killed this woman (in her own home) he'd had an affair with... and she was 7 months pregnant with his child. As if that wasn't enough the woman's 7 year old son came in upon the murder and screamed, so the guy panicked and killed him too. Then he stole the murdered woman's car and took their bodies about fifteen minutes away and buried them in a shallow grave. The whole Fort Worth community has been nuts about this story for days... it is all everyone has been talking about. Now it is nationwide news... and even the headliner on cnn.com.
The guy confessed after a few days and led police to their bodies. Since this is Texas he will hopefully get the death penalty. It is times like these that I am actually grateful for Texas' mostly right wing government.
And the kicker? All of this happened on my parents' street (they live in a very nice neighborhood by the way)... about seven houses away from theirs. :eyebrow:
Please send any comforting prayers/thoughts/healing energies/ect here in Texas for the families and friends of the victims. :sniffsnif
