:) Spoke with mol yesterday and wanted to let people know about the yoga class I'll be teaching when we do the revamped COT.
I'm not going to actually open sign-ups until we've got the new system down, but here's the scoop on the class I have planned.
It will be a 6 week, basic yoga class. I'm going to limit membership to 20 people, but my hope is that this will be a recurring class so if you don't get in on it the first go around you can get in on the second.
We'll be focusing on the basic poses and the terminology behind yoga. I expect a lot of philosophical discussion on the spirit of yoga also - since for me it's a spiritual practice as well as a physical one. I will touch briefly on meditation, but not a lot.
I do ask if you're not serious about learning yoga to not bother to take the class. I will be assigning "homework" and the idea is that this is a class for people who want to learn yoga and start doing it on a regular basis, but they may not have a place to go or are too self-conscious about doing yoga in a class full of strangers.
