I was going through some photos over the weekend, and I stumbled upon one from New York City I took some time back. I then remembered the one from Paris and I thought 'hmmmm....' It appears I have a knack for capturing spirits on sidestreets...

The first is some strange energy shooting in front of me with the Eiffel Tower in the background. It's strange, part of the energy towards the top gives the illusion there is smoke coming from the Tower. There isnt, LOL. And no camera strap, etc.

The second, I was tripping around NY, and liked the view of the Chrysler Building I had from that vantage point and snapped it. Also, I'm a non-smoker...

I usually have the feeling I'm being followed, LOL!

all of your other pictures turned out fine?

The 2nd picture looks like a glare or reflection off the lense.

Yep. Others were fine. Could be glare, I guess ~ although with matters such as these, nothing is really ever explainable and I suppose we'll never really know. I think it looks like a face with an arm/hand reaching out...

I've captured lots of spirits in pics in my time....

It looks to me like the back of someone and the street. I am being skeptical cause you should always try to rule out the possible normal causes before assuming the impossible. Almost all the cases where ghosts showed up on camera but not in sight are caused by natural causes.

Ghosts are visible to the human eye. If you didn't see it when you took the pictures, I'd be suspicious of em.

LOL... You've had your experiences, I've had mine. And I have many pics where spirits have shown themselves on camera and not in person. Quite obviously I may add...

Skeptisism is cool, but can you prove it's not ghostly energy? I've had numerous encounters with the spirit world and to me, it's not 'supernatural,' rather completely natural.

Oh, and ghosts do not always make themselves visible to the human eye...

I used to see ghosts regularly from age 1 to age 3... and then a few times from age 7 to age 9.

As for them being invisible to the naked eye. How would that be possible and still show up on film? Remeber that your eye processes reflected light, and the camera's film is exposed by light to make an image. They may be different processes but they all hinge on the existence of visible light. To have the film react to something the human eye cannot see is therefore impossible unless it is infrared film or some other special film.

So you are claiming your theory of the spiritual world vs. scientific as absolute?

Thank you, that amuses me... You can say what you want, but what if?

And good GAWDS what will be said when I post the ghost skull pic? Or the fairy pic from my friend's house? _handclapp

Heck no LOL I'm just playing the skeptic. Since we have no idea what ghosts are, we can't say for sure what will show up or not. However if you ever try to put this out as proof, those are the kind of arguments you will likely see.

I think the limited scope of scientific analysis deprives people of a lot of potential discoveries. Science is not advanced enough to explain everything. There may be a scientific explanation for all metaphysical activity, but if we don't keep an open mind, we'll never know.

Exactly my point. I can only say through MY experiences however, that I know what I've witnessed, which has been some pretty outrageous things that I have a more open mind about it than most. I have also seen the "not" photos, that are comparable, but incomparable.

I also mentioned 'could be glare I guess,' but again, what if it's not? I have no prob with debate, but when something is presented as "absolute," I have to laugh!

I guess what I mean to say (and GODS knows I've said this on other ghost boards) is as we are all people who share a common interest, wouldn't a response such as "Could be glare or a bug or something, but what if it isn't? Wouldn't that be cool???"

Yin/Yang.

I have several theories on ghosts. One is that they are light reflected back in the brief second that the normal human eye does not register. Scientifically if every molecue somehow trapped photons and then released them simultaneously, you would get this effect.

My second theory is that somehow for a brief moment the barriers between different dimensions were somehow thin enough to allow photons to escape. Then what you are seeing is but a reflection of another world.

Lastly there is the spiritual theory that ghosts are indeed some sacred spirit energy. In that case, they affect the camera by actually interfering with the electronics and the film so their images end up with anomalies.

I think ghosts are just people without bodies.

That would make them incorporeal ;)

Yes, I agree, it would.
