Hello and welcome to the Tarot class! If you're signing up you have agreed to follow the terms I outlined in the Introduction thread.

Please, tell me a little about yourself.... particularily your experince with a tarot. Just follow my lead:

Hi, I'm Amethyst rose. I'm 27 years old, and a stay at home mom to a 17.5 year old boy. I have been reading tarot for almost 10 years, and while I only read for friends and family now, I used to read professionally on a website that is now closed. I have taken professional instruction from a tarot mentor on another site, so I'm not completely self taught. In two weeks I plan on launching my own tarot site, the purpose of which is to teach tarot classes and sell tarot decks and books, and perhaps, in the future, to offer readings. The deck I use is the Gendron Tarot.

No student will be admitted to class after sign ups are over!!

I have been using tarot for about six years..but have seriously started to study it for the past year and a half. I look forward to learning more about it and developing my skill level...I have several decks and I use them according to my moods and sometimes the person I'm reading for...

Hi, I'm Kim. I'm 27 years old, work full time, school part time, and run sound for Revel Moon. I've worked with Tarot for about 3 years, reading only for myself and some friends, but not too often. I've been slacking lately when it comes to my cards, so this class should get me back in gear. I currently use the World Spirit deck mostly, and somewhat with the Haindl deck for more mental readings. I'm really looking forward to more formal type class, and getting to work with my cards more often.

I am not very experienced with tarot, I know the basic mechanics and a few keywords for a handful of cards, and how to use spreads, but I haven't actually studied it before. Despite this however I have several decks - the Old Path, the Witchy Tarot, and the Connoley Tarot. My favorite deck is the Old Path.

I'm 22, and I've been doing Tarot readings for about 9 months, but the only person I've ever read for is my husband! So I'd love to actually learn how to read ;) I think this class will be a lot of fun, and I am online daily so missing will not be an issue!

The deck that I currently use is the generic cheapy one you can pick up at Barnes and Noble!! But I'm going to buy a new one that is calling to me this week with my paycheck!

I'm 30, just quit my job and looking for a new one and mom to 8 furkids (we have bunnies, guinea pigs, a cockatiel and two dogs. :) My best friend Aleigh just completed this class and I'm excited to sign up for this next session. My only experience with tarot has been through Aleigh and the readings she has done for me and my bf so I have a LOT to learn. lol. Aleigh loaned me her beginner deck until I figure out what deck I want to buy for myself. I'm very excited to learn about tarot and to be able to do readings for my friends and family.

Oooo, i've been so excited about you starting this class again as i missed the first class you did.

Anyways, i'm 18yrs old, i have 2 children - 2.5yr old daughter and 8.5month old son. I have been reading the tarot since July 2003, but recently had quite a long break, and i am getting myself back into it. I have a number of tarot decks, but i use my cosmic tarot deck. I only do readings for myself with my oracle and healing cards. I usually do tarot readings for people online, and have never given a reading to someone face to face (that is something i hope i can pluck up the courage to do).

Can't wait for classes to start :)

Hi I am PeleRising, and I am 39 years old. I have been married for almost 17 years and am a SAHM and part time college student. My daughters are 15 and 7, and we have one fuzzy feline child, Bear.

I started using Tarot cards about 2 years ago, but am still very much a novice, my favorite deck is the Robin Wood. I also have the Cosmic and the Spiral. I will be using the Robin Wood for this class.

Hi Amethsyt! I'm going to make the time for this class now, I regretted not joining you guys last time, but things were super hectic. They've settled a bit now and I'm going to take time to enjoy myself again!

My name is Lisa.

Mundane info: Married (to Gareth), 3 (1 girl & 2 boys, ages 10, 7 and 5) kids, 2 cats with kittens on the way. I work as an accounting assistant for a company that sells stone tile.

Magickal/Spiritual/fun info: I am a practicing pagan and have been for about 5 years. In addition to tarot I've studied oracle decks, runes, reiki and some other fun stuff too. I'm currently in the process of pursuing my 1st degree with my coven.

Tarot info: I've been reading tarot for 14 years. I have been reading tarot professionally for about 4 years. I have about 20 decks or so to choose from, and I'm not sure which I'll use yet. I may have to go out & pick up a Thoth or Marseilles deck just so I can start completely fresh with the class and also learn something new. I'm not sure if I'm that ambitious yet, though! LOL :)

My name is Rhianna. I am 36 and have been on Pagan path for 12 years officially. I have been using the Tarot off and on for 15 years but mostly for meditation as I found doing readings for myself very difficult. I took a class from a local teacher 4 years ago and this improved my undersanding ten fold! I have been doing readings for others online here at MW and other places for a few months now. I think this class will help fill in a lot of blanks or trouble areas I have plus allow me to see new prespectives on the cards, especially those dang court cards!

I have a few decks but primarily use Robin Wood and Sacred Circle.

I'm EnozGirl, Enoz for short. I'm 30 and have been interested, yet intimidated, by the tarot for many, many years. I have been gifted a variety of decks by people over the years, but never really "gelled" with any of them. I guess I'm looking for a new approach to tackling my fear of the Tarot :). I just picked up the Gilded Deck, though I do actually get good readings with the Dragon Tarot.

There's just so much to remember with all the cards! And I always feel like such a noob when I have to refer back to the book. I'm always in awe of people who know what the cards mean just by looking at them! :)

My mom gave me my first tarot deck (the Sacred Circle deck) about four years ago, and I absolutely love that deck... I've gotten into reading with it on and off since, but I'd really like to get to know my deck better, as well as the Gilded Tarot deck that I picked up over Spring Break. I have a Rider-Waite deck, but for some reason I really don't like it as much as my other two, and I don't feel connected to it, though I understand why most people have told me I should have started with a more traditional deck.

Other info: I'm a 20-year-old college student, English major, at a very small and very liberal work college... I've been Wiccan for five years, a Universal Eclectic Wiccan for the past two years. I've spent most of my time in the Pagan world up until now being fascinated with more of the theological formalities and history, and I feel like it's time in my life for me to pay some attention to the mystical side of my sprituality that's been nagging me for attention :)

I'm 32, stay at home mom/college student. My son is 17 months old. I tried to take a local tarot class at my local witchy shop but my babysitter backed out. I have the Universal Waite deck. The shop owner tried to get me to get the Rider-Waite deck but I loved the Universal Waite deck artwork more. At first it didn't connect with me but I began using it again recently and it makes more sense now for some reason. I haven't read for anyone else, just have done littelreadings for my self.

Count me in! I'm a 31 year old homemaker/stay-at-home dad for two kids (1 and 3), plus part-time writer, coming up on ten years with my wife. I used to work with the tarot, but backed away from it while my life went off in different directions for a decade or so. I've been wanting to re-learn it and return to the practice, and this class is the ideal opportunity to do just that.

I previously worked with the Rider-Waite deck, but switched to the Robin Wood just before I quit. I've still got my Robin Wood deck, and plan on using it for the time being.

I was recentley given my first Deck of cards through what i felt were unusual circumstances. And all being said Would never attempt to read without some sort of direction. I work a job that almost pays the bills. I play hard and Love harder.. I dream long and sometimes i forget to wake up .. that being said I will sharpen my pencil and get ready to take notes.

I still haven't decided if I'll be doing this class again...I'm leaning towards no, though. If you're really interested, check out my website, http://www.tarotclass.com There are classes starting there all the time, and they cover a much wider range of information than this class does.

As for auditing the class... I prefer if people don't do that, simply because you don't learn tarot by reading, you learn by doing. That said, however, I can't stop you. :)

Hi all, my name is Ariana and I'm 25. I was born and grew up in Italy, and with the last 8 years which I have passed in Salem MA, I haven't been much elsewhere. I'm back in Italy now with my family. I never had an interest in Tarot until about 6 years ago when a the Mystic Tarot deck of cards literally yanked me by the hair in a store and got my attention. I've never used another deck since. I've tried, but this deck seems to be bonded to me somehow.

I'm self-taught, though I have tried to encorporate techniques I've seen others use into how I read, mostly trial and error. I look forward very much to this class and everything I can learn from it and all of you.
