Getting Started

Hi everyone! I know t hat you're all eager to get started, but there are a couple things that need to be taken care of first. The first lesson and assignment will be posted shortly.

First off, there are 43 people in this class, assuming that I counted correctly. Yes, that's a lot of people but it's completely manageable.

I plan on splitting the class up randomly into groups of 4 and one group of 3, so you can read together. Now, you can choose to read to each other over pms, or in the chat, or through IM or even phone. It's completely up to you. I will be PMing you who is in your group, shortly. I require you to do one tarot reading per week for at least one member of your group. I will not be monitoring this however, so it's going to be on the honor system.

If at any time you want me to evaluate how you're doing, pm a reading that you've done for me, and I'll give you feed back and we can discuss it. That is also your responsibility, however. If you want my help you need to take the innitiative. :)

Readings that you've done for others must remain confidential unless they've given you their permission to post it.

Question! This seems as good a place as any to put it...

Are our final assignments going to be the same as the last class? I ask because, being more meditation-oriented than reading-oriented, I was thinking of doing the create-a-deck option and want to confirm that it will be an option before going too far. :bigredblu And, if it is an option, how much information do you want on a new deck? Card descriptions? Scans? My artistic skills are embarrassing, especially on notecards. Would non-illustrated pips be okay for the purpose of fulfilling the "test run" portion of that option?

I'm enjoying getting to know my Art Nouveau deck better. But, I'm also getting more inspired to make the deck that will represent "my" trumps. ;)

The final won't be exactly the same as it was last class.... I decided that to make a deck is just too much trouble. However, if you really think you could do it and you think you could get it done in the time alloted, then I'll let you do it. :) I had a list of questions that I wanted answer in the last class, and I'd ask those again....descriptions of cards or scans aren't required but it would be interesting to see.
