First, a word on grading. I grade with two criteria - if you answered the question, and how much work was put into the assignment. I'm was an English major, myself, and love long winded assignments. In the same vein, 2 sentences does not an answer make, though if you answered all the questions you will get some marks.
In my last class, I gave out tarot decks to those students who recieved an A or higher in all assignments. Unfortunately, I can't afford that this time around....that cost me a lot. However, I do offer paper certificates of graduation to those students who get A or higher in all assignments. Those who get an A or higher in 80% of assignment will recieve a special MW banner.
If at any time you are unsatisfied with your grade, you are more than welcome to redo the assignment, at your leisure. The extra work you do will raise your mark, depending on how well the redo was done. If you're unsatisfied and think you were marked unfairly, PM me. It could be I was just having an off day, and you may convince me to change it. :)
So, why display the marks? Cuz the ego can be a great motivator. :)

Those people whose assignments are late without excuse have been issued their first or second warnings, depending.
Those people who have missed handing in 3 assignments have now been cut from the course, as outlined in the introduction thread: "I will be implementing the 3 stike system with this class. Anyone who is late turning in 3 assignments, without informing me they will be late, will be dropped from the course."
