n_n; Would anyone be interested in taking a class on Goetia and the Lemegeton (Lesser Key)? I'm a goetic-thingy myself, and though, 'Hey, why not have a goetic class?' Sure to some it may seem a little far fetched to some, but I think learning to invoke different spirits would be a useful tool. The class could also cover binding, basic circle crafting (I don't mean the standard circle. xP), and what not. So what'd I'd like to know is would be be willing to learn about Goetia? Because if so, I could try and teach a class. I have a database on my computer of the Lesser Key of Solomon anywho, for a good start.

EDIT: Heheh. Nevermind. Ignore this thread. XD

Goetia is a word used to describe a class of magick which emphasizes the summoning or calling forth of lesser spirits and demons to visible appearance, with the intention of binding the spirits to perform the magician's will. -noddage- Its not as falsy as it sounds. o_O;

Well, I forgot to add that if I were able to teach the class It'd also include Cerimonial Magic(k) and *maybe* some Enochiana. ^^;;

As much as I would love to expnad on learning the Enochian stuff there is already a cermonial magick class so you may want to contact the teacher of that classs to make sure that your not covering the same stuff. Also may I ask what background do you have in this topic? Like are you experinced in this type of thing becuase this is not a topic to take lightly.
Anyways I look forward to learning more of what you have to offer for such a class. Talk to you soon. :)

I think its a bad idea. Many will tell you that messing with such things unless you know exactly what you're doing(and even then its no cake walk)is dangerous. I wouldn't reccomend it unless the class came with a proper disclaimer. Even then it worries me, people sometimes get ahead of themselves thinking they are prepaired for such things.

Silent_lover I know you make a lot of good points but if Moth get the ok or even still wants to do the class it is ultimalty up to Mol isn't if the class goes ahead or not?

Mol gets the final say on all classes.

I have a couple of questions.. Who is to say that the students are strong enough to control these spirits if invoked...I kinda think this might be a subject taught better in person where the teacher could judge the students strengths and weeknesses. What happens if someone tries it and is unable to control the thing?

My other Question is this... Why would we who practice "And it harms none..." even want to control something?

Just thoughts that went through my head when I read the posting. I do like the idea of a theory class though.

All magic is invoking some sort of spirit.
