Just in case there are students who are uncertain how to go about reading for a partner when we haven't even covered half of how to read, here's some basic guidelines.

1. Start with a one card reading - Shuffle your cards and draw the top card.

2. Tell your partner what card you drew, then describe every detail of the card.

3. Use your intuition to determine the meaning of the card.

4. Look for any symbolism, remember colors are important, too! - Explain what the symbolism of the card means in relation to the general card meaning. If you don't know what the symbolism means, research it!


I just want partners doing one card readings for now, until we have covered spreads and such.

i hope it's ok to post here, um just wanted to ask can we check the meanings in the little book that comes with the cards? Or are we going on imergery and symbolism alone?

Good question. :) Use your intuition and the symbolism on the cards as much as you possibly can. If you get stumped, then you can turn to the LWB (little white book).

I am assuming we PM our 1 card reading to our partners? Or do we post here?

Pm or email them, or do them over IM....whatever you decide. Just keep them confidential, so that means no posting them on the forum. :)

Ok :) i was just making sure as it's apart of the lessons, i always pm readings or do them over messanger, but wanted to confirm it. :) thanks.

Alright, it sounds like one card readings are getting pretty darn boring for people. So, seeing as how the next lesson and assignment is going to be on spreads, and how to do readings, if you'd like to start doing larger spreads now you can. If you want to wait until you read the next lesson then you can wait till then, it's up to you. :)

:) I've already started on 3 card spreads... I will keep doing the 3 cards, until the next lesson :)
