interesingly I have studied the mind throughout life and found this to be true in some sence as well as believing that (my own quote)"What you believe is true is true, to you."
It has been a huge battle to prove the existance of ESP to others. Your interest in the subject might help me.

Merry Meet and :welcome: to MW. :) While I don't believe ESP is a "superhuman discovery" (whatever that means!), I do believe in it.

I am seeking credit for my superhuman discoveries
What discoveries are those?

embarassingly, telepathy, I must seem so crazy, i study-I feel sane-lots of unknowns- it seems no one is willing to sacrafice their privacy, I am all alone but curious

Umm...why did you edit your "superhuman discovery" comment out of your post?

your interest however slight intregues me. I realize it already exsists to some discoverer. I wonder why it is so un popular.

Why is no one interested in studying ESP, on the other hand what might be the true test?

I'm interested, but I have time restraints. :)

Annoymos Is this intentional, or a Freudian slip? ;) I must admit, I am often annoyed when good quotes or poems are written by anonymous authors... How can I find other things they wrote if they're anonymous? I declare, henceforth, that I will always spell anonymous as annoymos, because it is clever and apt. ^_^

It has been a huge battle to prove the existance of ESP to others. Your interest in the subject might help me.I say it doesn't matter if it's real or not unless you can't function in society. That seems to be our current society's measure. If you can keep a job (to pay taxes), clothe and feed yourself, and not break laws, then whether it's real or not doesn't matter.
On the other hand, I do believe that many people have natural aptitudes at certain mental processes. Take empathy for example. Humans generally have some level of empathy. When someone doesn't have any, we generally call them psychopathic and lock them away... And just as some people have no empathy, others have higher than usual levels of it.
I do think, however, and I'm not making a specific judgement on you, but a general statement, that a lot of people who think they have ESP don't. Not that they're completely without abilities, but that they think they have more than the usual for humans, when they actually fall within the normal range of human ability. Such people tend to find patterns where there really are none (a normal function of the human brain anyway) and make coincidences out to be more than they are, without analyzing the probable causes and ruling those out.
So I would caution anyone interested in ESP to ask themselves a couple questions: Am I functioning in society? Have I ruled out other probable causes? If you can say yes to both with certainty, then I think you're likely sane.
I also think that it's very good to question your sanity. Usually people who are sure they are sane, probably aren't. A lot of self-analysis needs to go alongside with any spiritual development. I personally question my sanity everyday. Am I sane? Well, at least some of the time. ^_^ But so far, I can function within society. As long as I pay my taxes, they'll generally leave me alone. ^_^

PS: I'd classify myself as definitely unSensitive in almost every way, but I have experienced phenomena at certain times in my life that I can't explain in a rational way. ^_^

I believe in ESP, and especially in signs that we get to confirm it, just read my thread String of Coincidences (http://www.mysticwicks.com/showthread.php?t=81287&goto=lastpost)
to get a hint of the types of things I believe in...though I don't claim to know how to explain it all...just that I do believe...also kind of a neat coincidence, the line you said was by you in the first post... for some reason, just yesterday I was remembering a little note I used to have tucked into my mirror that said "Life is what you make it"... and that seems pretty similar, so... anyway ... here's my thread, that I find interesting, even if no one else does, because I do tend to get rambly,

feel free to comment or chat, or pm if my box isn't full, whenever ya want, but I probably won't be online if I can (hopefully) tear myself away to do some housework today, lol.

First off :welcome: to MW.
second- I'm a hyper-sensitive empath. I pick up on people's moods really easily. It took me a bit of time to seperate other people's emotions from my own.
Third- Don't try to 'prove' ESP to anyone, most people's minds have been conditioned to reject most spirituality. Someone has to be actively seeking this things to experience them, and untill they've experienced it, people we have a tendency to disbelieve it.
We talk to someone about ESP, ask them if they've tried it (I mean putting 110% in effort), most critics will say no.
Four: You might try hunting around in theology & philosopy I'm sure someone else has put up a thread about this.

That's one of my favorite quotes. But it's not anonymous.
Man's mind, stretched to a new idea, never goes back to its original dimension

Welcome aboard!! :sailing:
If the mind has the ability to create it's own reality, then ESP is rather a strange concept. The thought is then not actually a foretelling of the future but rather the creation of it.

I dont know about future predictions, once or twice I had a dream that fortold real events. subconcious influences help there I suppose. What realy gets me is the present,

You do want to know that I am fine in society and well established individual Continuing my Education and all that. I do validate things using a probable cause, most of the time there is a very simple explination.
I dont try to influence people to believe me its been a long time since I talked about anything spiritual because it always comes back like I have unrealistic beliefs. I wonder why some poeple think what they do in their religions.
I am OK with who I am I simply have not totally discoverd myself. I do weigh the value of my time, I allow myself to soak up other peoples thoughts only when mine are setteled first. I have incredible responsibilities which come first by far but, there is also phenonemon in my life which stimulates my thinking. That is commonly mistaken for mental illness.
I love this site it has just what I need, some feedback.

It's great to meet you. I'm definately interested in ESP. There's a thread relating to that in the real science forum. I'll have to go back and see what it's called and get a link for you.
