King of Wands - relates to my partner.
My partner is a leo sign, and so he loves everything to be about him, he likes to be the leader/in charge, yet he is fun, energtic and loving. Which makes him suit the King of Wands quite well.
When he believes in something, he will stand up for what he believes in and is not afraid of a good debate against what he feels is "right" and "wrong".
He is also good at being optimistic - and he loves being spontaneous and taking risks.
This card from the spiral tarot is bold and bright orange colour, as though it has been designed to STAND OUT! This is what my partner is like. He likes to be just himself - yet he would like others to notice him and praise/compliment him a lot.
Knight of Cups - My sister, Kara.
This is my sister all over! She is really soft and warm hearted, and gets very easily hurt and upset over things. Yet she can make friends quite easily.
She is quite clingy, so when forming relationships she tends to stick to 1 person, and clings to them - this can lead to heartbreak for her, yet she keeps doing it.
She hates fighting, she wants everyone to be merry and happy all of the time, she can become very distressed if fighting occurs and/or if somebody gets hurt.
While the rest of the family love thunderstorms and things like that, it terrifies her so much, she will cry and become so scared.
This card to me is about being sensitive, but warm hearted, just wanting the best for people and trying to look out for others as much as you can.
I view this card usually as a person in their late teens, early 20's, and so this also fits my sisters age, as she is 21.
It really does depict how my sister is, and how she handles things.
2. Look back at your own life and describe how your own personality has progressed through the different court cards. (short example: as a child I was a Page of Swords, as a teenager I was a Princess of Cups, as an adult I am a Queen of Cups)
As a child : I was like the Princess of Pentacles I was pretty creative, i loved doing new things, like creating stuff - so thats why i loved the childrens game like crystal making or caligaphry sets.
I was always good at school, and i had planned to have a good career and stay on at school. I wanted to be a vet, i loved animals and thought i'd really enjoy myself by making a living doing something i love.
I was also interested in things like fashion designing too - it meant thinking up of new outfits, and i would draw the outfits - another creative part of me when i was a child.
As a young teenager : I was like the Princess of Swords It was almost like i had become a different person. Although deep down i still had a caring and loving side towards animals - i was going through a phase.
I think this is the point in my life where i was most confident, yet most immature. I was a smart person, but once teenage years began, i changed.
I wanted to try new things out - these were not good things though. I became a troublesum teen, and although sticking up for my friends, i would cause trouble with others. I had a bad time in school and left early, something i would soon regret. I still used my smart side though when i needed it, i loved being the one who knew how to spell something or know what a word meant when everyone else was much older and didn't have a clue.
As an adult : I am like Queen of cups I am in early adulthood, so i still have a lot of growing and progressing to do, but the transformation from my early teen years has been dramatic.
I had a reality check and snapped out of my teen immaturity phase. I quit smoking, quit hanging around with a bunch of low life losers and matured A LOT! I took the chance to take a course in Parapsychology, and passed with a diploma. Started tarot reading and seeing LOTS more to life than i couldn't see in my early teenage years.
I am extremely shy and reserved, but i love the idea of being able to help people and give them guidance, which is why i was drawn to tarot reading.
It has brought my true self out so much more, and i am much more aware and appreciative of other people - infact i care more for others than i do for myself a lot of the time. Although i have much more learning to do - i fit the Queen of Cups well, and when having to pick a significator, i always go with the Queen of Cups.
Bonus Marks:
Which is your favorite Court Card, and why?
There was two court cards that stuck out the most - Queen of Pentacles and Queen of Cups, i really do love both of these cards. But.... I had to go with the Queen of Cups.
The main reason because this card is most like me at this point in my life - i guess i would love to hold traits of the Queen of Pentacles too, but that is more progression i'm going to have to make.
So, my favourite court card is :
Queen of Cups : The image of this card in my spiral tarot really appeals to me straight away anyway. I'm a very strong watery sign, and this really shows that aspect off. She is sensitive, inutive, caring, thinking of others, shy. And although i do have weak points like everyone does - these are my strong points within my own personality.
The card to me goes quite indepth into what the card meaning is, unlike most other court cards. You have the strong watery sign reflected in this card, as she is under water with fishes swimming around he, and a giant oyster shell being her throne. She is gazing at a chalice, almost like she can see through it - this is her intuitive side, i feel she can also be very empathic and this is why the Queen of Cups usually shows that she cares and thinks a lot about other people, often putting herself in other peoples shoes.
This is why the Queen of Cups is my favourite court card. I can usually always get a vibe of what the card is saying instantly, court cards can be tricky to interpret but i've never really had trouble with this card in the past and i think it may be due to how much i can personally relate to it. And i thought i would attach an image of the Queen of Cups as i have related to it quite a bit.

Which is your favorite Court Card, and why?
Part 1
Knight of Cups: The dreamy romantic teenager...this is the boy who writes poems and love songs and gets engaged to his girlfriend when their 16 (and they'll be together forever!). He's sensitive, moody and deep, possibly a loner. Such sensitivity and moodiness can make him prone to depression though, especially when his love life is involved. He's very loyal to the people he loves.
This definition almost perfectly describes my ex boyfriend. He was always a total romantic… the kind of guy who would do something totally and completely extravagant for me any day of the year just to do something romantic. Like one Valentine’s Day he decorated my room with balloons while I was gone. I came home and found a note that told me to pop the balloons and solve the puzzle inside (each balloon contained a piece of heart-shaped paper which had a letter on them). The puzzle said “Will you go out with me” and the last piece of paper told me to go downstairs and there he was at the foot of my stairs… it was the single most romantic thing anyone’s ever done for me. But unfortunately things got to a point where he was so moody and depressed that I couldn’t take it anymore, we broke up but remained close friends for awhile afterwards until he committed suicide. He is definitely a man I will remember forever and will always be close to my heart.
Page of Wands: The Page of Wands is a kid or teenage girl who never sits still. As a young child, the page is always running, climbing and playing, and never wants to stop, or go to bed (sounds like my son!). He is charismatic, joyful and fun loving, a truly wonderful child to be around. He loves being the center of attention, but has potential to be a bully. As the teenage girl, she is the popular girl, the cheerleader, the partier with tons of girlfriends trailing after her. She always has plans to be with someone or do something, and she loves being the center of attention. She also, has the potential be a bully.
This one sounds like my sister, the kind of girl who is everything I’m not. She is still young but already lives the life of a total social butterfly. She is rarely home because she’s usually out with her friends all the time. She wants to be a cheerleader and a singer and an actress and a dancer… anything that involves a ton of people catering to her every need. She is somewhat of a bully at times but for the most part she is not too much of a bully. Her attitude shows but most people have either learned to accept it or get out of her way!
Part 2
Ok this one’s difficult… I’m 16 so I suppose I haven’t really made a full progression. But lol, Amethyst you’re progression is the same as mine!!! When I was little I was like the Page of Swords, always talking and always learning new things, and actually enjoying learning! After that I evolved to be more like a Princess of Cups, I was always falling in love with any guy who would take the time out of their day to treat me (the social outcast) like a real person and then being totally heartbroken when I found out they were dating someone else. And now I’m most like the Queen of Cups but I also have a bit of the Queen of Swords in me. I still learn as much as I can (one reason I love the COT here at MW), I’m always reading, always talking to people with interests similar to mine and constantly trying to absorb as much information on as many subjects as possible. But I’m more like the Queen of Cups because of my personality… I’m the person all my friends run to for a shoulder to cry on and for advice; I’m also quite shy and many people tend to see me as very mysterious because no one except my closest friends and family know very much about me. But I do struggle with depression, moodiness and addictions.
Bonus My favorite court card is the Queen of Swords. I love the way she is depicted in my deck. She is a tall woman wearing a long purple dress and holding a sword in one hand and a hawk is sitting on her other arm. Both the hawk and the woman are wearing a crown. I love that she gives off a vibe of intelligence and strength at the same time, even though she is not really depicted as physically strong or as a stereotypical “smart person”.

Knight of Swords is very similar to my ex-husband. He thinks he knows everything and will argue his point into the ground regardless of whether it is right or not and most of the time its not. He always tries to impress people with his “knowledge” and will go on and one about a subject like an authority on it, whether he actually knows what he’s talking about or not. The only difference is that he doesn’t spread rumors or gossip.
Page of Swords is very much like my oldest son. He is extremely intelligent and is always looking to learn new things and find new information on any subject. He loves math and is able to do complex equations in his had. He is a very straight forward person and is very blunt, not sugaring coating things he says and not afraid to state is opinion. You always know exactly where you stand with him.
2. Look back at your own life and describe how your own personality has progressed through the different court cards. (short example: as a child I was a Page of Swords, as a teenager I was a Princess of Cups, as an adult I am a Queen of Cups)
Me As a Child. I don’t remember much of what I was like as a child, but from the memories I do have, the closest would be the Page of Coins because when I was outside I was always building a fort or something, but most of my time was spent playing in my room with my dolls.
Me As a Teenager. Not any one card really describes me as a teenager. The only card that shares any traits with me is the Princess of Coins in that I had an after school job, I was not a partier and was not popular in school, having very few friends but being completely comfortable and content with the person I was.
Me Now. Again, no one card accurately describes me. The closest is portions of King of Cups in that there is nothing more important to me than my family and I will do anything to take care of and protect them. Also parts of the King of Coins fits with me, wherein I’ve worked hard to achieve what I have and I do expect other to work hard for what they want instead of looking for it to be handed to them. I am very loyal to those I choose to give my loyalty to. However, nothing else in any of the court cards is similar to me in any way.

Which is your favorite Court Card, and why?
Queen of Swords: A woman is standing with a very large fire dragon wrapped protectively around her. The dragon is breathing fire. Three small dragons are flying around her. The woman is wearing scale armor and her white skirt is encircled by a belt with Celtic symbols as are her arm bands and crown. She is holding a raised flaming sword in her right hand, while she pets the dragon with her left hand. You can tell that she and the dragon are friends and care about each other. This is an absolutely beautiful card. The artwork is wonderful. I love this card for its power. You can feel the power of dragon radiating from the card.

1. Choose 2 court cards and attribute their personalities to 2 people that you know.
Knight of Pentacles - My husband, Gareth
I choose this card to represent the DH for a number of reasons. Astrologically, he is a Taurus and therefore an Earth sign. Pentacles relate to Earth. Knights are not as mature as Kings, and anyone who has ever talked to Gareth on here would probably not choose "mature" as a word to describe him. ;)
Some of the keywords associated with this card can be: dull, slow-witted, stick in the mud, etc. I don't think these assesments are fair, although I can see how they might be chosen. My hubby sort of has those qualities, but instead of saying those things I would choose the word "Focused". It's not that he is dumb, he just sees things one way and has a very hard time moving away from that idea. If he comes up with a way to do something, he will always do it that way, it's hard for him to change and his habits form very easily. Instead of saying "stick in the mud", I might say "stuck in a rut" is more appropriate.
Queen of Cups - My friend, Denise
I choose this card to represent my very good friend, Denise. She is a Scorpio and that astrological sign is associated with Water. Water is the element of emotion, and this makes her a very interesting person to be around.
The positive side to this card, and my friend, is that she can be very giving and nurturing. She will go out of her way for her friends and family, even to the point of going without herself if she feels you may need something more than she does. She is a very caring person and forms attachments to others quickly and they are usually very personal attachments. Once she is your friend, she will generally stay your friend forever.
The negative side is that there is always a storm lurking under that caring and nurturing surface. The tides of her emotions flow in and out and can suck you in and under before you realize what is happening. Sometimes the changes are gradual and you can sense them coming up on you, but other times they are quick and ruthless. Water changes things through erosion. It wears away at them until they are in the shape the water wants them to be. This type of slow and subtle manipulation also occurs with the Queen of Cups.
2. Look back at your own life and describe how your own personality has progressed through the different court cards.
I thought it might be fun to do this as a spread instead of just picking cards myself. So, I separated out the court cards and shuffled them asking about my childhood, young adulthood and current state.
Childhood: Page of Swords: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v298/RGareth/PrincessSwords.jpg
Yep, makes sense. I was a very smart kid, always at the top of my class. I think I've been reading books since I crawled out of the womb. :) I used to hum or sing to myself all the time, I had a large vocabulary at a young age and I always wanted to know why and how something worked. When I was 12 or so I'd spend the entire weekend locked up in my room reading. It used to drive my parents nuts. They wanted me to play outside. :)
Young Adulthood: Queen of Pentacles
I can sort of see this too. I had my daughter when I was 19 and had all my kids by the time I was 25. I've spent most of those years changing diapers and being focused on providing for the kids and making sure they weren't wanting for anything.
Current State: Knight of Pentacles
I find it interesting that this card is sort of a de-evolution from the Queen of Pents, but it makes sense if we consider that we all go through stages of learning in our lives. I wouldn't expect to start out at the King level in a new project, so this is good. I feel like this represents a new sense of freedom, a bit. My children are all older now and potty trained. Next year they will all be in school full time. It's such a relief not to have babies around anymore. They are old enough to occupy themselves for a while now, so I have a chance to really focus on some of the things I've wanted to do for myself. I still have to provide for them, but they don't need my constant attention.
Bonus Marks:
Which is your favorite Court Card, and why?
Favorite Court Card - Queen of Swords:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v298/RGareth/4cards5.jpg (upper left corner)
I usually choose this card as my significator, if I have to use one in a spread (I generally don't use them). This is a very strong woman. She is smart and knows her stuff. She prefers to be objective and observant, using logic to solve her problems rather than becoming emotionally involved in them. Her approach to issues at first is "Just the facts, ma'am" and then after she has gathered all her facts, she might let opinions and other things infiltrate and color her perception.
She does sometimes appear to be cold and uncaring, not taking others' feelings into consideration. This is often a misconception, she does realize that you have feelings, they just aren't as important as the facts to her. :) She can be demanding as well, expecting you to give your best and to really try to understand something instead of just going through the motions. As it says in Amethyst's lesson, she does become frustrated with things "beneath her knowledge". She frowns upon things that don't make logical sense.
I think I was a Vulcan in a past life. :uhhuhuh:

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y14/notlob001/QueenofWands.bmp
The Queen of Wands represents my best friend Natalya. Creative, Energetic, Enthusiastic, Firey temper. Also domestic. She started her family late on, and so to me she appreciates her home & children more. This does not dampen her creative spark though and she loves to get involved in anything where she can use her innovation. Guareeteed to be the prize winner at any fancy dress contest. I also feel contentment, though perhaps still yearning for creative opportunity to come along. Loves to entertain. Yep - definitely the Queen of Wands!!
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y14/notlob001/Pageofcups.bmp
My daughter Amber is best represented by the Page of Cups. Pisces, Imaginative, Dramatic (definitely a drama queen) yet in touch with her emotions for someone of her age (6 yrs old). I see the page as a friendly soul, not afraid to be himself, also her! Humanistic, thoughtful and considerate. Also with Imagination comes much creativity. Very artistic
2. Look back at your own life and describe how your own personality has progressed through the different court cards.
As a child I would say I was the Page of Pentacles. This card reminded me of all the "green" places my parent's took us as children. Both are very much into nature. Standing alone - no other friends were. Also he looks unsure of himself, very much like me as a child.
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y14/notlob001/pageofpent.bmp
As a teenager I was more like the Knight of Cups. My hormones were all over the place. Very sulky teenager. Hated everybody. Was not close to anybody at this time in my life. Alone with my own emotions, nobody to talk to. No sense of direction. Didn't have a clue what I was going to do with myself.
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y14/notlob001/knightofcups.bmp
As a young adult I was like the Queen of Swords. Loads of confidence (though looking back it was mainly on the surface.) Always on the defensive - don't mess with me attitude!! Always some dram going on with either friends or boyfriends. Thought I knew it all.
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y14/notlob001/Queenofswords.bmp
Now I'm a mix between the Queen of Cups & the Queen of Pentacles.
(QofCups) - I'm more in tune with my emotions. More open yet less judgemental. More attuned to others - intuitive. More willing to share, to let go of anger & resentment. I enjoy caring & helping others. Also I love the water (Pisces) I would also add more likely to keep opinions to oneself (don't gossip unless its good news.) She seems a wise woman who sees much, but says little.
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y14/notlob001/queenofcups.bmp
(QofPent) - Very at home with nature (must be my childhood.) I see this queen as a healer surrounded by all that nature has to offer. All the tools available at hand. Content and happy, taking nothing for granted. Can see the beauty in all (am still trying.)
http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y14/notlob001/queenofpent.bmp

Which is your favorite Court Card, and why?
I have 2 tarot decks at present & I'd have to chose different ones from each (I couldn't leave out my Druidcraft favourite as I absolutely adore it.)
My fave from Tarot for Beginners is the Queen of Pentacles (see above) At one with nature. Appreciating the beauty around. I see this woman totally organic/alternative using only nature to heal. Living off of the land. Also a compassionate woman. Willing to talk to the animals as much as her fellow humans.
My fave from the Druidcraft is the Queen of Cups. I see the same attributes in this card as in the queen of pentacles from my other deck. Connected with her own spirituality, I see the clouds as spirits all around her. She seems selfless, willing to give of herself. I wonder if its the colour green which attracts me as both cards are dominated by this colour. As a red head, the colours which suit me best are Autumnal ones and green dominates my wardrobe. Maybe its what i'm drawn to.

Because my suits are different with regard to elemental association, I'm not attaching card images this time. For the purposes of this assignment, Staves are Fire and Swords are Air. Otherwise, I'd get all kinds of confused. :yikes:
1. Choose 2 court cards and attribute their personalities to 2 people that you know, either in real life (friends/family) or on MW. State the card chosen, who you think it relates to, (SN or first name/title (mom)) and why you feel that that card relates to them.
King of Cups: The King of Cups is a kind gentle man. Nothing is more important to him than his family, and everything he does is with them in mind. As such, he is extremely protective of them. He is most likely seen in low profile positions like a chef or buisness owner, where he's behind the scenes. He can be very old fashioned and have old fashioned ideas. He can be too soft, however, and that can cause people to walk all over him. His forgiveness knows know bounds, and people can take advantage of that.
This is my mom. She is extremely family-centered; she chose to raise kids rather than follow a promising career. She hates being noticed. Her first choice of career was a journalist, specifically a TV producer. All of her positions required her to do double-duty as a reporter as well, and she always said that being in front of the camera was her least favorite part of the job. She preferred collecting the information and organizing it for someone else to deliver. Old-fashioned...well, on some things. Try getting her to use a computer mouse. :D When she's in the role of helper, which she loves to do, she frequently allows the helpee to take advantage of her. In fact, she invites it. When it comes to emotional life, my mom is definately a leader and commander. She forms the family emotional bedrock, although the stability is somewhat, uh, mutable. And she is an expert at manipulating and controlling other people's emotions. She possesses the King of Cup's virtues as well as his flaws.
Knight of SwordsThe Knight of Swords comes across as a know it all - who wants everyone to now it! He has knowlege and opinions and he's going to share them. He argues for the sake of arguing, especially with people in positions of authority. This can get him in to all kinds of trouble, as I'm sure you can imagine. He can also be prone to spreading rumors or gossip, just for the sake of the reaction. He believes strongly in the freedom of information and free speech.
This is my younger brother, who has gotten repeatedly kicked out of religion classes for arguing with the teacher. One such teacher feared that he would start a cult. _firedevil Fortunately, he's not into rumors, although his information accuracy rate hovers around 50%. He knows it all, even when he doesn't actually possess the relevant facts. :graduate: Needless to say, when he got into college, he gravitated to the Philosophy department. He has since wandered into History with an eye to getting a Ph. D. With his energy, intellect, and (Cups-like) insight into human dynamics, he'll make a great professor.
2. Look back at your own life and describe how your own personality has progressed through the different court cards. (short example: as a child I was a Page of Swords, as a teenager I was a Princess of Cups, as an adult I am a Queen of Cups)
This one is hard.
As a child, I was somewhere between the Pages of Coins and Swords. I was creative, cautious, and quiet. My main interest was science (air + earth; the mind grasps the material). In kindergarten, I was the one helping the teacher tie everyone's shoes, and I read the encyclopedia for fun. If there's such a thing as a five-year-old nerd, that was me. ;)
Around fifth grade, I hit the break between childhood and adolencence, and Coins gave way to Cups. This was my first taste of social anxiety and depression. I was never much of a Knight; energy is not my strong point. Instead, I had the virtues of the Queen of Swords. My intellectual curiosity veered from hard sciences into humanities, and I discovered a talent for written communication. At the same time, I had the weaknesses of the Queen of Cups -- depression, instability, insecurity, extreme shyness. While my personality has developed since my teenage years, the basic paradigm has not changed. My career is likely to involve books, and my emotional vulnerability has not improved.
Since teenager-adult is pretty much the same, my third category is Hopeful Future. I want to be the King of Coins, at least as he is described here. Self-reliance, stability, and independance are all very appealing right now. Material gain is not my foremost value by far, but security is always nice. It would seem easier for me to gain the strengths of the Queen of Cups, but social involvement -- dealing with the dependance of others -- is basically painful. I would like to quietly come into my own as a solid, creative loner.

Which is your favorite Court Card, and why?
Section 1
Page of Swords relates to my 8 yr old daughter Madelynne. She is extremely intelligent and questions everything. If she becomes interested in something watch out… she will tell you about it even in her sleep… she never stops talking. She will argue with you about anything… and won’t stop till you give up because you are tired of fighting about it. She is extremely persistent, and overly literal… . We don’t expect Maddy to be just valedictorian of her class… we expect some day she will be president of the world lol
Queen of Wands relates to my sister Linda. She loves kids… her kids, the kids she works with and always puts them first even to the point of missing out on things for herself, but that never seems to bother her… what’s important to her is the children. It bothers me because as her big sis I worry that she is getting lost but she just moves from one thing to another effortlessly. People either love my sister or they can’t stand her. There is no room for anything in between. She is amazingly strong, active and makes even the hardest things look effortless. She can be quite bossy… and if someone does her or her kids wrong (and her kids are any and all kids) she can become a lion. I cant count the number of times I have gotten embarrassed at her straight forward comments to people (especially waitresses) who just aren’t doing their jobs the way my sister thinks they should be done. She is bold, loud on occasion, straight forward, and bossy, but over all that she is so very loving.
Section 2
As a child I was a Princess of coins. I spent a lot of time outside making forts, playing in the woods, collecting ants and chameleons, making up plays with costumes and a stage and then selling tickets. I was always dreaming and planning some new adventure.
As a teen I was a Princess of cups… I was a dreamer, and in love with the idea of love. I was a fairy princess who lived in a high tower waiting for my prince who I was deeply in love with. I lived more in my dream world then I did anywhere else.
As an adult I am a Queen of cups. I like to listen and help my friends and loved ones. I can see me someday in a little cottage with a big garden and at least 6 cats, sitting down to tea with friends who stop by to chat. I am prone to depression, and can often be shy… but the shyness melts away if I feel I am needed.
Bonus Marks:
My favorite court card in my Spiral deck is the princess of pentacles. She is a young girl with long brown hair and a wreath of daisies. Her face is tilted upwards, her right hand is holding up or appears to hold up a golden ball with a pentacle on it. She is kneeling on the ground in the middle of a garden of flowers. She is wearing a grass cape and has a long dress on with stripes.
This card reminds me of the wonder of childhood… I remember as a young girl, hoping to find fairy houses in the garden… I remember wearing daisies in my hair and I remember knowing that there was more to the world then I could see. This young princess will grow to become anything she wants… her feet firmly rooted in the earth. I love the look on her face, a look of wonder and expectancy…

I've really enjoyed reading other peoples assignments, and how they relate cards to other people and themselves.

Hey, it's on time!
Father of Earth (King of Pentacles)
This card reminds me so much of my Dad. He left school with no qualifications and built his life up from scratch. He now has a good job and is quite high up. He’s worked hard to get where he is and is good at his job. All the people he works with look up to him and respect him. He does expect other people to work hard as well and earn all their own money. He can’t stand people who “sponge off the government” and isn’t afraid to say it. He always has some funny story or other to tell about things that have happened to him. The last sentence in the lesson about the King of Coins which is the father of Earth equivalent is true but I don’t think matters in our family. My dad doesn’t need to say “I love you” to my family because we know he does and it just goes unsaid.
Daughter of Fire (Page of Wands)
This card is very much like a good friend of mine. She’s always loves being the centre of attention and knows it. She’ll shriek and scream to make herself heard. She’s not exactly popular but she does have lots of friends and easily makes them. She likes being the leader and having her own way. If she doesn’t get her own way she can be very insisting. She is bossy but if she gets too much I tell her so and she stops.
Child: Daughter of Water/Daughter of Earth (Page of Cups/Page of Pentacles)
As a child I think I was a cross between the Daughter of Water and the Daughter of Earth. The Daughter of Water side of me was always daydreaming, moving at my own pace. I was always imagining things, my cuddly toys were alive or I could make the characters on my wallpaper move if I stared long and hard enough. I was a huge animal lover and always wanted a pet. When I finally got a guinea pig I cried so much when I found I had helped in its accidental killing. The Daughter of Earth side of me was always making things; I was putting that Daughter of Water imagination to good use. I painted pictures and played with modelling clay. I always wanted to make a Plaster of Paris model and paint it as well but I was never allowed. I would go outside and hammer nails into bits of wood or mix together my own cement.
Teenager
I’m 15 now and I have no idea what card represents me best. I seem to be constantly changing. None of the descriptions seems to fit me now. It seems to me that I need to settle down first I don’t what I want or how I want to be. I do know that I’m not the child I was, I’ve changed and grown a lot from that.
Favourite court card
My favourite court card overall is Daughter of Air. On it there are two silhouettes of a man and a woman flirting with each other. Some parts have been picked out like the lips which are red and his tie which is also red. Beneath them is a scroll of music and a red kiss with wings. The LWB says this card represents love and affection through words and song and I think in this case it is right. I like the meaning of this card as well as the art. I like how it represents how you can express you love for someone not only through body language but through other ways as well.

I really had a hard time finding people the cards fit the best i could do is one from R/L and one from MW.
1.)
Page of Wands--Alexis/Daughter
This card is my daughter made over. She is always running, climbing and playing, and never wants to stop, or go to bed untill you make her and then she tries to fake you out and pretend she is sleeping so she can get back up and play again. But she is great to be arround and very loving axcept to her brother she likes to hit him she tends to bully all little boys.
2.)King of Coins--WolleyBob/Acquaintance
The King of Coins is proud and self reliant. He is the type of man to live off the land - grow his own crops and hunt his own food, and makes a wonderful famer or civil servant. He worked hard to get where he is, and where he is is in charge. He can be charming and funny, is kind, loyal and honest.
From talking to WB over the past month or so this seams to fit him well He loves the outdoors and is a hard worker there just is not much more i can say here other than he seams to be an honest person and can be funny at times seams to be loyal to his family and show his kindness by volunteering in him community.
------------------------------------------------------------------
this is the best i could get on my life progressing personality wise.
Page of cups-- I was a very quiet sensetive child i normally did not have many friends and i have never been able to stand seeing anything hurt at all.
Princess of coins-- When i was a teenager i worked after school in a resterant and saved my money for 2 summers and i also volenteered at the local hospital for 2 summers as well I was on a great path till life crashed arround me.
Quees of cups--This is the closest card i could find to represent me now I love making my own herbal medicines to give to people who need it the few friends i have know i am always there to listen and I do it quite often I am always being asked my advice on one thing or another I just love to help people even though i do tend to offer to help so much i over extend myself at times. However i do seem to be depressed often and i have some bad hormonal imballences I dont know about the rest of the meaning but this part--> (that she is prone to depression, hormonal imballances, psycological problems and addictions.) fits me well.
Bonus Question-- I really like the Queen of Swords. I love knowledge i am always reading or trying to learn something new I seam to crave knowledge all the time I just wish i knew more and had a higher education.

1. Choose 2 court cards and attribute their personalities to 2 people that you know, either in real life (friends/family) or on MW. State the card chosen, who you think it relates to, (SN or first name/title (mom)) and why you feel that that card relates to them.
Bonnie/Mom....Queen of Pentacles. On Aecletic Tarot there was a discussion about the Queen of Pentacles representing a prostitute. My mother is very driven by the dollar. She tries to pretend to be things she is not to please other people.
David/Father in Law...Knight of Wands. My FIL is very immature, everything revolves around him. Everything is always about money, he drones on about how much things cost. He is very aggravating to deal with; he only sees his own point of view.
2. Look back at your own life and describe how your own personality has progressed through the different court cards.
As a child I was probably the Page of Pentacles and the Page of Cups. I was always outside doing something, caught lots of critters. I loved being outside. I was a very shy sensitive child (still am). Then the Knight of Pentacles as a teenager. As a teenager I never really fit in anywhere. I was not a partier, I just wanted to get away from my parents. Now I feel I am at the Queen of Cups. I have an associate degree in Psychology and am going to nursing school in the fall!! LOL!! I am always the one everyone comes to talk to but no one ever wants to listen to me which usually sends me into depression.
Bonus Marks:
Which is your favorite Court Card, and why?
I was always attracted to the imagery on the Queen of Wands in my deck but after reading the descriptions you listed I really like the Queen of Cups. I have a degree in psychology and am going into nursing. One of the quests of my life is to help heal me, especially the mental side of me. I also enjoy helping people alot. I love dolling out attention to my son. I am very shy and have had problems with depression. I am addicted to caffiene products.

King of Cups—My father. The King of Cups is a man who is kind and thinks only of his family, and this is very true in the case of my father. Everything he does is for his family, and he would go without just for one of us. He’s definitely a behind-the-scenes guy, especially when it comes to his place of work. He winds up doing all the work and taking next to none of the credit, and he’s very uncomfortable when he’s in the spotlight. He’s very kind, but unfortunately, he’s so kind that he WILL let people walk all over him, usually his own family or his boss. My father also tends to forgive and forget a little too easily, also leaving himself wide open for hurt (like when he bent over backwards to remove his sister from an abusive life in Florida. He moved her up here and helped her out, only to have her disappear. She came back, he took her back in, and the same thing happened again). He’s been behind me 100% of the way, and I love him dearly. He’s definitely old fashioned—I sometimes find him stuck in his teenage days when he’s playing guitar, and family tradition is very important to him. He’d definitely the King of Cups.
King of Sword—my brother Paul. My brother is the kind of guy who takes everything to the extreme. He’s highly opinionated, and he’s not afraid to let anyone know it. He’s seen so much injustice that he’s becoming a policeman so that he can go out and right wrongs. He’s extremely stubborn when he wants to be, especially if somebody’s trying to push him into something he really doesn’t want to do, and he’ll believe in something completely, even if he’s proven wrong. Of course, he hardly ever thinks that he’s wrong—that’s the stubborn side of him. He tends to hold grudges, especially against our mother and her friend, the two people who broke our family up, and I don’t think he’ll ever forgive them. But even after all that, he’s a decent person.
(For reference, I looked at all the court cards, but these two felt the most like people I knew. I didn’t just stop in the Kings. And I’m stopping now.)
2. Look back at your own life and describe how your own personality has progressed through the different court cards. (short example: as a child I was a Page of Swords, as a teenager I was a Princess of Cups, as an adult I am a Queen of Cups)
This part is a little difficult for me, because I tend to be a bit of a mixture of some of these cards, and I haven’t changed too much from a kid, or I keep going back and forth—the bottom line, I’m really not any of these cards, and while it’ll take points off my grade, I don’t think I can answer this one.

The first card I have chosen is the Knight of Cups. This card to me represents my husband.
In The Gilded Tarot this card shows a high spirited knight with is cup upraised in the Twilight. He gives the impression of Celebration and romance. My husband is a Scorpio and to me this card suits him...He is Flirtatious, fiun loving, romantic...He is a poet and a dreamer....He also is strong willed and radiates strength...
The things that can be a fault with this card are the things that he needs to be careful with as well...To not let daydreams take him from his path...to find solid footing and not let his daydreams get him sidetracked from his goals....
The 2nd card is The Page of Wands..This card to me represents my Oldest Son.
In the Gilded Tarot this card is depicted by a young man...a bit stiff,as if in a new experience..and he wants to get it right..He is not nervous or anxious...just expecant..
I see my son in this card because he is about to graduate from 8th grade...he is leaving behind his childhood and moving into a new stage in his life...he will be going to highschool next year...he is on the brink of new friends and experiences...leaving behind childish ways...I see the transformation that is evolving and this is the card that represents this to me..
I know that he is prepared to move on and yet I know it is something he needs to work on as well....It is a time of transition...all his hard work has paid off but more lies ahead....
2)
When I was in my twenties I was very much like the Page of cups...At that age I was so sure of everything...My way was the right way and even though I did not have all the skills are life knowledge I was confident...I was not willing to take advice...
In my thirties I was like the Knight off Pentacles...I had done my battles and was ready to settle down for a more domestic life...take some time off and feel safe...have a family...
In my early forties I feel like the Queen of swords..I have taken the events and experiences of my life an attempted to build a useful life philosophy...I have learned to be a bit on guard with life but not enough to be afraid of it...
And at the present time I see the King of Cups...Though my achievements have been made I am seeking an outlet...a focus for my creative side..I have a desire to something but I'm not sure what....I feel that I am definetly searching for something...a higher purpose or perhaps the meaning of it all...Perhaps this is the natural course of life,...the older your children become and you see them growing more independant...the question arises about what is next...even though it is a few years off..I know the day is coming when they will be on their own......This is the stage I am begining to enter now.....There are times when I long for them to be babies again and then there are days I can't wait for them to be out lol!...of course this could also be the fact that I'm probably staring menopause lol!
