...to a local writer's group. Wish me luck. I'm good at public speaking and actually enjoy it, but I'm sleepy and it's rainy and drizzly out, and I'm not sure what a bunch of aspiring writer-upper-class-suburban housewives are going to think about the velvet-clad heavily tattooed witch sitting there, talking about how she writes about murder and mayhem. ~grins~ Not quite the same as a signing, where the people pretty much expect me to be a little odd.

Anyway, it should be fun, and I hope they get something out of it too!

I'd love to hear a lecture about writing about murder and mayhem from a well-dressed decorated lady! I've heard enough from bearded, motionless, dull and voiceless old men, so why not hear from someone who not only appears interested, but interesting?

Oh gods, not to sound STOOPID...but I am geographically challenged, to put it delicately (IOW: I don't know where the hell I am, usually, and nobody better take directions from me cuz they'll get lost). Uh...Calgary is which way in Canada? (I am going to try to make arrangements to sign in B.C. sometime this year).

LOL, you're on the right end of the country! :) BC, on the west coast, is right next to Alberta, and Calgary is in southern Alberta. Airdrie, where I actually live, is a few miles north, but we "go into town" all the time. How's that? I'm good with directions--if you get to BC, maybe I can come to your signing!

Yasmine, you couldn't be more directionally challenged than me. I get lost in Boiling Springs (a nearby town with only one traffic light and 10 stop signs)! :lol:

Psst... no one tell her they will be veggie-chicken wings with a meat substitute! If you do, I'll hurt ya! :p

You can come here anytime you want. I would love to see someone other then the uppity know-it-all's with there monologue voices! I think it would be fantastic from someone dressed up in velvet and being all dec'ed out ;) I wouldn't be alone then :lol:
