Cat Lore

Cats have been revered as magical since the time of the ancient Egyptians.

A cat washing itself is believed to be a forecast of rain.

To see it wash behind its ears is a sign that a visitor will call.

If it sits with its back to the fire, it's a sure sign of frost.

Leave a door open and think of a question that can be answered yes or no. Call your cat into the room and notice which paw it first places on the floor. If it's the right forepaw, the answer is yes. If the cat steps with the left, the answer is no.

But my cats wash themselves every day - sometimes several times. And they ALWAYS wash behind their ears.
It rarely rains and I never get visitors unless the landlord wants the rent...

My cats too wash themselves all the time, Tilly washes her brother Wolf too, its such a sweet site!
Here in England it does rain allot but not every day, several times a day.. well not at this time of year.. hopefully!

Its a cool subject to think about though!

They have been quite the last few days and havent been going out as much, just sleeping all the time.. could this mean something?

I think my cats balance out the weather here - Cat always bathes, were as Spook rarely does.

Oklahoma cats really do have some freaky behaviors when a tornado is coming

They will become nervous or hypervigilant, go and hide or pace around depending on their personalities. I pay as much attention to them as I do the warning sirens!
