Objective International News Sources?

Does anyone have any suggestions on any international sites that has objective (or more objective than average) world news in English?

Thanks

No such thing. And frankly, the world press is even LESS objective than the US press (if that were possible), since the US is the only major country without an actively and openly partisan press.

I see.
So how many world newspapers have you read recently? And in what language?
I'd be interested to find out what exactly you've read in them that was not objective.

I listen to BBC , which local public radio stations carry at night. Jews have complained that the 'Beeb' is biased towards Arabs/Muslims, & Arabs/Muslims have complained that it's biased towards Jews/Israel.
When I can get them, I read the London Times. I figure it's news department is good, & it's conservative political bias is toward British consrevatism, not Amerian.

Umm.. What about Fox?

That's the most actively openly partisan press I have ever seen.

Less so than almost any European or British paper or media outlet. Most of the European press is either owned directly by political parties or affiliated openly with political parties. FOX at least maintains the pretense of being "fair and balanced." And keep in mind that FOX is the product of the non-American approach to media (it is, after all, the brainchild of an Australian).

I guess a good thing to do is to read CNN and also read Al-Jazeera. This way you get both perspectives in this conflict and the truth probably lies somewhere in between the two.

The mistake is in assuming that the "truth" (whatever that is) lies equidistant between the two. Which is to say that CNN runs propaganda from time to time, al-Jazeera runs it ALL the time.

Keeping in mind that a totally objective news source doesn't exist (and couldn't exist), I find http://news.bbc.co.uk/ more objective than US news sites.

Probably best to read a variety of sites and make up your own mind.
