  • one of my favourite pictures I've taken

in the sense that it's a great picture. I have pictures I love more, but for who and what is in them. as an image, rather than an emotional connection, this is probably my favourite picture I've taken.

it's of a tree on the moors near where we handfasted, and I took it a few months after I got my SLR (did GCSE photography at school with an SLR, but have only recently got back into fancy pants cameras since the digital age kicked in)

This is gorgeous! I love the colors and the sense of space, and the little flare in the middle of the tree just makes the image even better.
Even when your hope is gone, move along just to make it through the night.

Just beautifully stunning. Both as a photo and as an expression of self.

I love the point of light in the middle of the tree. and also, we have a funny light quality here in Cornwall, in the late afternoon.

the light has a sort of purpley tone, and I think that this picture does show that funny light quite well

I do want to get it on a canvas, as it's a picture I'm so happy with.

I want to roll around in the grass beneath it.

Awww. That actually sounds nice on a really hot day. I know that would never happen, but...grassy swimming pool? Do like.
