Hmmm....there's enough herbal stuff here to do a whole separate book!

I don't have any ideas yet but I'll think about it.

Even though I'm kinda a newbie, I thought I'd put in my two cents anyways. I would love to get a book like that, I also think that maybe it might be a kinda good idea to put in little tidbits on the sabbats and esabbats, specially for people who are new and are looking for a cookbook or something or another. Or maybe like a section on what recipe's go well with what holiday or something like that. And then maybe like a little info at the bottom about it or something.

*g* Hope I don't offend anyone by that. It was just a thought.

This is Way COOOOL!! I love cookbooks. I'd love to send some recipes for some of the older culinary arts that so many of us forget these days, like making your own yogurt, making your own vinegars (Delicious!!), clabbering, etc. Many times people forget how easy and delicious such things are. I'd love to see others' contributions along these lines as well.

Let me know where to send recipes!!!

Here's a nice warming soup for those winter day's ahead

                          Italian mushroom soup
                          You will need
3 tsp.'s of Marigold Swiss Vegetable Bouillon Powder (or equivalent)
                          1 pint of boiling water.
2 tbsp's of extra virgin olive oil.
1 onion peeled and finely chopped.
200 g's of organic mushrooms finely chopped.
1 tbsp. plain wholemeal flour or flour substitute (corn flour), (gluten free white mix).
150 g's of Manicotti (tubular pasta shells).
225 g's tin of chopped tomatoes.
                          ½ tsp. of sea salt.
¼ tsp. of ground black pepper.
                          A pinch of nutmeg.
                          A pinch of garlic.
                          A pinch of oregano.
                          A pinch of basil.
Dissolve the vegetable bouillon powder into the boiling water. Stirring well. Set to one side. Heat the oil in a large saucepan and add the onion and mushrooms. Fry for two minutes, stirring repeatedly.
Stir in the flour or substitute mixing well, now cook for a further two minutes. Slowly pour in the bouillon, stirring the whole time.
Add the pasta, chopped plum tomatoes, sea salt, nutmeg, garlic, oregano, and basil. And let it simmer for at least 15 minutes on a slow heat.

                          Lots a Love

I've just mailed off a couple.... trying to think of more! lol

As an avid recreational cook, I would suggest some form of spiral bound. Much easier to work with, and you don't have to worry about finding a couple of paper weights to hold the book open! And see how much extra it would be for glossy pages, you can wipe up messes a little easier that way.

I cannot seperate myself from life.
