**hugs Materra** Hope all is well with you.

The LU has been changed into something I don't recognize. But the C&B hasn't changed at all.

**strolls over to the gorrilla with the pink bow in her hair at the bar** Mabel, can I get biscuits and sausage gravy and sausage pattie and some hashbrowns for breakfast? And a glass of chocolate milk, too, please?

Materra sneaks up on Mable and hugs her.... "Can I have breakfast too? Huh? Can I huh? Steak and eggs? Coffee, orange juice and some of the biscuits with honey and butter." Grins at Ses....

**grins and shakes head** Steak and eggs is still the weirdest sounding breakfast. I never did used to seeing that on signs when I was in Colorado. That and the chicken-fried chicken item on the menu. I can understand chicken-fried steak, because if you dip a steak in egg and then in flour mix and fry it in a skillet, it really is steak that has been fried like chicken. But when you do the exact same thing to a chicken, it is just FRIED CHICKEN, *not* Chicken-Fried Chicken. The desire for such willful redundancy on a menu is mind-boggling.

As for the LU, eh *shrugs*, things change. It's all well and good.

Never tasted chicken fried steak... just the term bothers me. "Now this", pointing to the spread Mabel has set up, " is heaven. Used to eat at a small town cafe called Mabel's and every payday we had t-bone steaks. Her son raised the beef and she would have the biggest, cover your platter, steaks on the planet. She loved us girls and we would end up with two plates of sides, and this giant steak with a take out sheet of heavy duty aluminium foil. This was before microwaves, so you wrapped left over's in foil and reheated in an oven. Mabel was the best. In her 60's age wise, wore those fancy beehive hairdo's and the hankies in a pocket that were folded like flowers and Poofed out so pretty. Midwestern accent. We got treated like queens. All for 2.99 with tax. Worth every dime. I swear she saved the biggest steaks she could just for us every friday after work on payday. Never did thank that woman enough. We could eat for three meals with what we got there.

**Ses, sporting a lovely lavender paigeboy wig, laughs and hugs everyone back**

I miss having a place to hang out. I tried to create something on LJ, but that venue rather bites for online tavern chatter.

Those steaks sound wonderful. Now I want one, practically mooing on my plate, if at all possible.

I've been watching "scary" movies all day long. You'd think that a movie where the female star is shacking up with Marc Blucas (Agent Finn, who was serious about Buffy the Vampire Slayer) would be able to just call his Buff-Puff to come deal with the Big Bad. But no. Instead, he was total average Joe, instead of commando G.I. Joe. Bummer. I was rooting for the creatures because the movie was so lame.

Oh, and yesterday, I saw a movie on Fox. It was Alyssa Milano as a young virgin coed who was being seduced by a vampire who had loved her soul (in a different body) several hundred years ago while he was still human. the plot could have been intriguing, but instead, it turned into girl-on-girl porn between Alyssa and the lady that is in The Golden Child. And then Alyssa Milano's character became pretty much just like when she was Queen of the Underworld on a future series of Charmed episodes. But anyway, the main point for mentioning it is that she was drinking this incredibly dark red wine that just looked SO GOOD. Now I want a nice cabernet sauvignon or a claret. Or perhaps burgundy. Or even... heh... sangria.

                        **sighs** Scatterbrained much?

The other thing I was going to mention about the movie before I got sidetracked by Alyssa's naked butt and breasts (which I still cannot believe Fox was allowed to show on TV at 1 in the afternoon on a Saturday and not on a pay-per-view station), is that, if you were involved with someone you liked (but not necessarily loved, or at least you didn't know if you were in love with that person yet), and a handsome stranger wooed you in your dreams and tormented you lustfully in your waking hours, too (in visions and apparitions), and he told you he was your long lost love from another century who had recognized your soul as the one he's been in love with for ever and aye, *and* you think you recognize him, too, even though you'd never given him a single thought before he entered your dreams.... would *you* choose to stay with the one you were currently dating (and stay alive), or would you choose to be with your undead love of your life (and get made a vamp, too, into the bargain)?

Oh, and he has fully functional sexual apparatus, too, in case that matters to you.

She doesn't. She chooses pretty-boy wuss boyfriend instead of her incredibly hot undead lover in leather coat. (It annoys me because the vamp was exactly my type. Pale, dark haired, blue eyed, and wearing leather.)

Awww, the poor vamp.... and so cute too from the discription.

Yeah, Mable cooked um rare...and we knew what they ate so it was a good deal. Hell, we could have driven down the road and pet them for that matter. (Sorry if that was too graphic for some. I am a country raised child.)

I agree Ses, it is hard to find online places to talk. I chat with SV, Matt and a few other's on messenger and that is really cool. But I wish for others to talk to like you or Wanderer etc. Someone who understands I am kidding about the DB's but they have gained a life of their own.... so to speak. *giggles at this*

                          Anyway... how are things going?

I'm not thrilled about working for the government. So much policy to implement and personalities to juggle (clients and co-workers) some people are the salt of the earth and others are animal scat. I just keep plugging away. They say it gets easier, I hope so. (I'm only griping to you guys, because I know at some point in our long acquaintance each of you have worked for the gov't in some capacity) Beyond that I still am close to Lunacie and Albie and still trying to keep learning new things that don't have to do with work, but feed the soul.
And I would love to spend Christmas/Yule somewhere where the season changes. Envy the Colorado and Eastern Coast Seasonal changes. Here the tree in my front yard has leaves and the next day...boom...every single one is on the ground. That's how I know winter has arrived!
