  • Century where religions changed in England?

I am writing a fiction story that spans some generations. But I would like to stay true to history as much as possible, even though it is mystical. The timeline begins early 15th century to 16th century and spans a few generations of women. I am looking for the latest female deity in England before it changed to more patriarchal deities. My characters are secretly holding on to their ancestor's beliefs and it would help me flesh out this part of the story. I am having some trouble pinning down when the changes began. Any direction to where I should go for this information?

BTW I belonged to this group some years past. I did come back and tried to get back with old password, but I couldn't make it work, and the email associated with this group has long been discarded so I couldn't get a new password. So I am new, but not new here.
