    God is an Optometrist

God is an optometrist, handing each of us glasses to interpret the
truth. It is a liberation of the mind & emotions to realize that we
are looking at the same thing, with different clarity. As we
progress in awareness, we are given new glasses with each passing
    epiphany.

We expend a lot of energy trying to get others to see through our
glasses, when truth is, they will be unable to unless their eyes see
as ours do. And no two sets of eyes are going to see the same
picture. As our brains interpret what we are seeing, a long line of
experiences, causes and effects, and personal preferences are
    tinting our views.

A truth of my awareness is that we are looking at the same view.
This is an important realization if you are ever going to be a
teacher, or have the spiritual maturity to affectively share what
you have perceived. The trick to sharing the picture within and
without is to find the language of the one you are sharing with.
This will only happen if you are hearing and seeing the other person.

It helps to know your motivation regarding your sharing. Is it out
of loneliness of having a unique viewpoint? Is it out of validation
to beat your beliefs into another's framework? Or is it out of the
joy of discovery, that you want to share the vistas of the journey?

There seems to be a natural phase with expanding awareness where you
are going to try to prove your point, and disprove the other's. When
you understand that we are all looking at the same view, this
intellectual tug-of-war seems immature at best. What does it harm
you that another person does not share your perceptions? Why would
you expect them to? Is the ground you stand upon so shaky that you
have got to reinforce it often?

Running chat rooms for a year now, I have seen nightly there are
always a few people who come in with the unconscious desire to find
the flaws in other people's ontologies. They will offer very little
but intellectual debate, and cannot expend the energy to see or hear
the other person they are trying in desperation to knock down. If
they were silent for a short while, and could unplug their emotional
need for superiority, they might discover that the other person
speaks of the same truth as they do.

It might appear like a second grader, and a college student
describing the same reality. But it is the same reality at core. If
you find yourself at this place along the path where you need to
value, judge, compare, or destroy another's ontology, then perhaps
you can save yourself a lot of expended energy (usually negative) by
seeing just how spiritually immature your actions are.

You have your own pair of glasses to look through. they were
specifically designed upon your experiences, education, and
perceptions. You can try on another's glasses by listening to their
teachings/sharings, but ultimately, God is the optometrist and has
always known how you are going to see the big picture. Hopefully,
you go through eye exams often, and find yourself looking through
    new eyes nearly perpetually.

A friend of mine said "It always seems like God is trying to cloud my vision rather than help me see."

whichever god (insert word) that you do not have a reaction to its name. can even be a lack thereof as long as it fits your ontology.

god = generic overseer of development
