Sometimes I think "right-to-lifers" only value life if it agrees with them. A fetus can't talk, therefore... it can't offend you with its belief system or looks. It can't tell you it will never go to your church, believe in your god, or exist in your socio-economic class.

A potential child is adorable until it actually exists. Then it's just another object of your scorn. Another despicable product of a broken home, unwed mother, or family that's so large it can't take care of itself.

Kentucky is my country, and it shall always be my home, just as my friends will ever remain my extended family. To nothing else in my life will I ever be so resolutely and steadfastly committed." …. I have heard that before, and it is interesting. Although, and maybe someone else will come along and correct me on this, to my knowledge, there is no positive historical evidence as to when exactly Jesus was born. (If he was at all. )

There is no reliable historical evidence except the New Testaments, and there are some serious historical inconsistencies. The life of Herod is only one... the Census story for example is simply silly... I wonder if anyone could imagine what a logical nightmare it would be to have every member of the Roman Empire return to their town of origin? Good luck achieving that with modern technology.

Good heavens, they've found out when "Jesus" was born?

The calendar was decided retrospectively, I thought everyone knew that. So is it really a surprise that Herod died in what we now, but which they didn't then, call 4 BC?

          From the aforementioned Wiki pedia:

Scholars do not know the exact year or date of Jesus' birth or death. The Gospel of Matthew and the Gospel of Luke place Jesus' birth under the reign of Herod the Great, who died in 4 BC/BCE,[9] although the Gospel of Luke also describes the birth as taking place during the first census of the Roman provinces of Syria and Iudaea in 6 AD/CE.[10] Scholars generally assume a date of birth between 6 and 4 BC/BCE.[11]

And why "Jesus" in quotation marks?

Well...I don't know if this helps the conversation any, but...

I'm VP of a club called the Culture Club (not of the Boy George variety), and we've had one man come do two lectures this semester named Dr. Jeff Donley. He knows about 17 languages, translated the Copper Scroll (of the Dead Sea Scrolls), blah blah blah. Well, last time he was here (which was last week, interestingly enough), he was covering the Romans and the Parthians, and he touched some on the Megistani, who were apparently the "three" magi in the New Testament. Apparently, King Herod, like the Romans, were both worried about the Megistani king-ing someone else because they were king-makers. (Somehow, a single Megistani could possibly have a 10,000-man army with him? I never got to ask how they managed to accumulate that.) Oh, I guess they'd be referenced here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magi

He wrote The Everything Bible Book, if anyone wants to look that up.

How friggin dare anyone out there make fun of Jesus after all he's been through.

He lost his disciples! He went through court. He had no friggin kids.

His friend Judas turned out to be a user, a cheater, and now hes going through a resurrection. All you people care about is….. readers and making money off of him!

HE’S A HUMAN! What you don’t realize is that Jesus is making you all this money and all you do is write a bunch of crap about him.

He hasn’t performed a miracle in years. His last supper was his last for a reason because all you people want is MORE MORE MORE MORE MORE!

LEAVE HIM ALONE! You are lucky he even died for you BASTARDS!

              LEEEAVE JEEESSUSSS ALLLLLONE!…..Please.

Perez Hilton talked about professionalism and said if Jesus was a professional he would’ve pulled it off no matter what.

Speaking of professionalism, when is it professional to publically bash someone who is going through a hard time!?

Leave Jesus Alone Please…. Leave Jesus Christ alone…right now….I mean it.

Anyone that has a problem with her you deal with me, beacuse he is not well right now.

              leave him alone...

Because he was Hebrew, and "Jesus" is a Latin name.
