  • Found in NOLA

This crocodile was found in New Orleans swimming down the street. 21 FT long, 4,500 lbs, around 80 years old minimum.

Specialists said that he was looking to eat humans because he was too old to catch animals. This crocodile was killed by the army last Sunday at 3:00 pm, currently he is in
the freezer at the Azur hotel. The contents of it's stomach will be analyzed this Friday at 2:30pm.

so these are the monsters swimming around in the 9th ward, among other places, in NOLA, and they (the gov't) wants to confiscate firearms.

          This is an internet myth:

          http://www.snopes.com/katrina/photos/crocodile.asp

Crocodiles aren't native to the coasts of the Gulf of Mexico, but we have some monster alligators down here.

i don't know much about crocodiles but i did take the obligatory swamp tour when i was in New Orleans for my honeymoon and the guide said aligators are typically very docile. we fed them marshmallows... apparently they like white and think they're eggs floating on the water wish i had some pics but i lost my roll of film from that day and i haven't been able to find it yet.

Bigger? That would be Crocs. Saltwater crocodiles are the largest of the crocodilians.

More vicious? That's a individual creature issue. But, in general, Nile crocodiles are concidered the most dangerous to humans.

                  Well, that is special...

I think we had several big ones in a neighborhood in Houston. Can't remember the details, but I do remember some got bent out of shape because one was lassoed (still fighting) tied to a truck and drug to a bayou and set free. The dragging got people bent.

                        And just a side note...

Doesn't look to me like the animal in question, had any trouble finding something to eat, no matter it's age.

Gators on average are docile, they won't attack unless you invade their territory. Especially their eggs or young. They'll put any crocodile to shame in the viciousness department.

This, as well as the man eating alligator stories are false. Also, the warning includes all of the Superdome homicides and rapes that were reported on. Officials are saying that no reports were made, no evidence was found and Mayor Nagin's excuse was he was "caught in the moment" for promoting wrongful information. There were no bodies piled up inside the superdome. This came from the Mayor and a few high ranking National Guard. Looting occurred and crimes were committed but listening to local and world news tonight much of the high profile news flashes have been found to be exaggerated.

                            right.
Now you know why they wanted a mandatory evacuation.
Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
                            And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
                            Of sun-split clouds--and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of--wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew.
And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Being from NOLA we do crazy things like swim with the gators but they will not bother you unless you are bleeding, bother them, or get to close to the eggs. The other point I wanted to make was what do you think dragons are?
