  • A Digital Witches Tool Kit

A thread from another section of the forum got me to thinking of New Pagan/ Wiccan students might need when starting out. This is a digital age, and a good deal of the classic books and even ancient texts are available online for free. I'm posting some links to a few sites, if anyone else has any links or ideas feel free to join in.

http://www.ancientscripts.com/ - Covers several ancient and newer writing systems, Well organized easy to use and lists some great references.

http://www.psyche.com/ - Qabala site, covering the basics and history of Qabala, also there is a CoT Qabala class archive here

http://www.botanical.com/ - I'm not to up on herbals but this looked like a good resource for identifying plants. I'm not sure if it's geography specific.

http://www.herbalsafety.utep.edu/ - Covers a wide base of herbal uses, gives scientific classifications as well as in depth coverage on safety in herbal preparation.

http://www.healthy.net/scr/MMList.asp?MTId=1 - Discusses the medical properties of herbs, seeds, and roots. Gives brief analysis of medical properties, as well as general preparation guidelines. It's a good starting point if you are not an herb expert.

http://www.kcweb.com/herb/tincture.htm - Discusses the use and preparation of herbs.

At some point I said that life should be more like, robocop riding a unicorn that happens to be defecating rainbows...

Well life just got a little bit better.

"Take a picture of an electron in one instant and again the next, it will have seen Andromeda, do the same for me, and I will have taken the same trip."

I continue to battle my word processor in hopes of producing something useful...

Would y'all be willing to post links? It would be easier for new people to cross reference information.

        Thanks!

http://www.paganlibrary.com/introductory/glossary.php - A glossary of terms in pagan/ Wiccan ritual. Please do not take these terms as rote! They may not apply to certain paths, but are for the most part, and for general use correct. If you have any questions about the definitions posted, feel free to use the search function to see if it's already been discussed. Or to create a thread and ask about the definition in question.

This web-site is one of the most fantastic resources I've ever found...

                    http://www.sacred-texts.com/

They have many divisions, including one for early Neopagan/Wiccan works which includes works in full by Gardner, Murray, Leland, Graves, Frazer, etc... If you want to read some of the old stuff, check here.

This website is our humble effort at making occult knowledge more accessible to those who are ready for it. By collecting and sharing free occult, esoteric, magick and metaphysical ebooks and software that can be found all over the World Wide Web in one place, we hope to make the learning process much easier and more enjoyable. It is our fervent desire that you be able to find what you are looking for within these pages, or, at the very least, be pointed in the right direction on your quest for occult knowledge and wisdom.

Some more bits and pieces for your sticky, KC:

Internet book of shadows off sacred texts website:

This is a large (+9Mb) collection of articles related to Neo-Paganism which can be found archived at a number of FTP sites (for instance, here). This is a collection of posts to bulletin boards from the late eighties to the mid nineties, essentially predating the modern Internet. According to a recent communication, the original editor of this archive was Durwydd mac Tara at PODS net. We acknowledge Durwydd's hard work to preserve this archive.
