What I'm asking, though, is could a creature as big as Nessie is supposed to be slip in and out of the loch through this connection to the ocean without being noticed?

Another interesting theory is that Nessie is not a creature at all but rather some supernatural/spiritual being. Supposedly Aleister Crowley or someone did some black magick at Loch Ness and conjured up the monster back before the modern sightings started.

Maybe, but perhaps it doesn't need to slip in and out. Maybe it is perfectly comfortable remaining landlocked? There have also been reported sightings of the creature on land. I'm not sure what it means but it is interesting.

I say we drain the lake and end this Nessie debate!
Other then that I bet it'll never be solved.

Draining the lake is impossible because it is so huge.

Nothing's impossible if you put your mind to it!

The pics are such crap. I've been fascinated bynessie for years, and really, all the pics are crap. they could be anything, dead chickns, and we'd still say, "OOOhh you can make out a flipper.."

Also, there hasn't been a Nessie sighting in years. The were ver common, especailly in the 30's when they were blasting and building the road around the loch. The saw the monster very often at the at time, but less and less now and the loch is becoming polluted.

I read an interesting theory that nessie was actaully a giant sea slug. I can't recall the particulars, but it semed a good solid theory, better than the immortal plesiosaur theory that seems to be the most common.

If I had to pick one paranormal creature it would be nessie, i love the thought of something in the water, that's been there a hundred years plus.

Those pics werent really that good but they were the first I seen that were underwater. I think there definitely something in there. As far as it being this giant creature that has lived for hundreds and hundreds of years.....I dont know. I believe that there are more than one of them and that they are just some type of animal that has yet to be discovered.

i dont understand why they wouldnt try out thermal cameras if the water is sooo murky i mean more likely if its alive itd be giving off somesort of heat? i do think iam correct in assumeing so but it seems to me such a large body mass and no heat then what is it? cant be reptilian or itd be dead due to its cold blooded ness and the murkyness of the water,
soooo mabye they coould take thermal pictures of the lake from a satelite? just an idea

There is so much in this world still unknown - So, yes, I believe there is a possiblity that Nessie could be very real. I am fascinated by the unknown.
