Spring cleaning and community letters

I am about to send out a community letter, but before I do I am going to prune the user table of folks that have never posted and haven’t logged into the site in a long time. That way the mass email doesn’t bog down the server as much.

While I am pruning, the site might get a bit sluggish.

Now the letter is going out. Sending out a mass mail is pretty intense on the server, so I have no doubt that MW will slow down a bit. I will do my best to watch it and throttle the CPU / RAM as much as possible.

Oh, and I will post the letter as a global announcement here first, so that all you good folks logged in can read it first!
